Demi Miller has been an active Quaker since his days as a college student in Ohio; his years as a Conscientious Objector teaching high school in the inner city of Chicago; his four years of "graduate studies" doing Gandhian non-violence training and action in the Philadelphia Life Center, and helping to organize a local Movement for a New Society chapter in the Twin Cities.
A Minnesota resident now, for the last half century, he has been an active non-violence trainer (a founding organizer of the MN Peace Team during the 2008 Republican Convention); has been an annual People Camp attender/organizer; is a teacher/practitioner of peer deep co-listening (cocounseling); has led support groups in prison settings; has traveled globally with the Friendly Folk-dancers; led winter backpacking trips to the BWCA; completed 26 Marathons; and tries to stay on top of the upkeep of his 115 year old St. Paul residence.
