Adrian Fleur

Adrian Fleur is a writer and activist born and raised in post-Apartheid South Africa, where she was first introduced to the concepts of non-violence, peace and restorative justice. After dismantling the oppressive regime, the New South Africa created one of the most progressive constitutions in the world—one which affirms the identities and lived experiences of all South Africans. This lit a fire within Adrian from an early age, leading her on a path through many countries working and volunteering with young people and refugees.

She now calls the United States her permanent home, and is grateful to live in a compassionate community like Minneapolis. Her previous roles in education, nonprofits and the corporate world put her in good stead to take on the duties of Administrative Assistant for FNVW. She thrives in activist spaces where she can feel impactful, promoting the ideals of Ubuntu through everyday practice, and brightening the days of her colleagues with laughter.
