Lora Lumpe is a Legislative Representative at the Friends Committee on National Legislation (Quakers), where she campaigns and lobbies on conventional weapons issues, including small arms, landmines, cluster munitions and military aid.  She currently serves as the coordinator for the US Campaign to Ban Landmines and Cluster Bombs, a coalition of dozens of US-based organizations and thousands of individuals.   Lumpe has researched, written and campaigned for 20 years on issues relating to military aid, the weapons trade and human rights. For six years she served as a consultant for Amnesty International USA on the human rights implications of US military and police training programs around the world and on US arms export policies. She has also worked as a consultant in recent years for the Open Society Institute, Small Arms Survey, United Nations, American Friends Service Committee, Swiss Government, and numerous other organizations, and previously with a variety of US and European peace groups.  Among her publications are The Arms Trade Revealed: A Guide for Activists and Investigators (Washington, DC: FAS, 1998) and Small Arms Control—Old Weapons, New Issues (London: Ashgate, 1999). She has published numerous book chapters, conference papers, and opinion pieces.
