Joann Perry

Joann Perry

Joann's anti-war activity (actually pacifism) began when she first saw the pictures from My Lai in the late sixties. Because she kept running into Friends at the protests, she became an infrequent attender of TCFM (sometimes Minneapolis Friends Meeting) beginning in the early 1970s.

She served on the FNVW Board in the 1990s, and has been part of the AVP Steering Committee since 1995. She is currently an AVP facilitator at Hennepin County and Eagle's Nest (veteran recovery) in Sauk Center. Previous facilitations include Minnesota Federal and State Prisons as well as national, international and local AVP workshops, and as a national officer in various positions for AVP/USA.

Most of her working years were spent in the metals industry, but also in the financial sector both as an administrator and executive. She is currently self-employed as a water-colorist.
